Not every wooden floor is suitable for underfloor heating, but CozyOak wooden floors certainly are. CozyOak wooden floors hardly ‘expand’ at all when heated, as all the timber components are dried, pre-stressed and glued with the utmost care in our own factory. Thanks to the selected wood species and the narrow plank dimensions, heat transfer is optimal and the feeling of comfort lingers long after the heating has been turned off. The result: a beautiful, affordable and sustainable wooden floor that lasts at least twice as long as PVC.
Your CozyOak wooden floor is quick to install and designed to be lived in. You can easily maintain your floor yourself. All you need to do is vacuum and mop.
Wood simply outperforms synthetic alternatives in terms of energy efficiency when used with underfloor heating. As our floors are manufactured sustainably in the Netherlands, CozyOak wooden flooring has a much smaller carbon footprint. Furthermore, our timber comes from responsibly managed forests. Whereas, for example, a PVC floor must be removed and disposed of at the end of its lifespan (and cannot be recycled), a CozyOak wooden floor can be sanded down and re-stained over time.
A CozyOak wooden floor costs only a few euros more to purchase than an average PVC floor. However, the lifespan of a wooden floor is considerably longer than that of a synthetic alternative and is therefore much cheaper in the long run.
Parquet has a higher thermal resistance than stone-effect flooring or PVC laminate. However, this does not adversely affect the heating and cooling of a home, and no increased energy losses are measurable. Flooring designed for underfloor heating can make a positive contribution to the efficiency and lifespan of a heat pump. Furthermore, heated rooms are perceived as comfortable for longer.
